Monarch Mountain Opens Today! 

Yeah, we brag on our very local (it's only 40m from driveways to lifts!) Monarch Mountain, featuring an amazing stash of pow here in Salida: no or little wait at the lifts, a cat ski option, and the famous Mirkwood Meadows hike (it's worth it and then some)! A ski and board experience for all levels of experience, with a friendly outlook and hometown feel. 

Our friends running the show up there not only serve the stoke, they serve the community via Monarch Community Outreach and grant funds to a wide array of important work being done here in our town. 

When you stay with us, you get a locally-distilled directory of some of our top features, and that's saying a lot because we have a zillion of them for every season...Winter and Short Summer! (haha, just kidding, we do have a semblance of Fall and Spring--both gorgeous in their own right, and how could they not be? we are cradled by 14ers and the world-famous Ark River)
